Parish Bulletin

We are grateful for the support of our Catholic Bishops, our Parish Priests and the Catholic community to raise awareness for persecuted Christians via ACN’s #RedWednesday. From lighting red, parishioners wearing red, organising a #RW liturgy for the persecuted Church or taking on a Parish challenge for displaced young Christians.

#RedWednesday – Parish Challenge: 20th November 2024
#RedWednesday is Aid to the Church in Need’s (national and international) day for persecuted Christians. This year, ACN is focusing on the suffering of young Christians in priority countries, many of whom are orphaned and displaced due to targeted attacks against their Christian communities. Can you, your parish, school or other networks raise £500 by Christmas to help provide material and spiritual hope to displaced children in places like Nigeria, Lebanon, Syria, Burkina Faso and Mozambique? All individual gifts and ‘team fundraising’ donations will be doubled to the value of £250,000, thanks to generous benefactors! There are so many ways to raise awareness and funds, from a collection, to a parish 50ksteps challenge to wearing red on the day, To find out more, to sign our Advocacy petition and to find out how to be part of #TeamRed this year, visit acnuk.org/redwednesday
