Break the Silence
Please help Break the Silence on the persecution of Christians and minority faith groups around the world. Hear their stories and show your solidarity with our brothers and sisters.
Parish Bulletin
We are grateful for the support of our Catholic Bishops, our Parish Priests and the Catholic community to raise awareness for persecuted Christians via ACN’s #RedWednesday. From lighting red, parishioners wearing red, organising a #RW liturgy for the persecuted Church or taking on a Parish challenge for suffering young Christians.
#RedWednesday – Parish Challenge
#RedWednesday is Aid to the Church in Need’s (national and international) day to raise awareness of Christian persecution globally. This year, ACN is asking if you will give HOPE to suffering young Christians and their families. Can you, your parish, school or community raise £500 by Christmas? Together we can support vital child and family focused ACN projects providing material and spiritual hope in priority countries where we work including Nigeria, Lebanon, Syria, Burkina Faso, India and Pakistan. All donations will be doubled in the #RW Matched Challenge £500k4HOPE! There are so many ways to raise awareness and funds, from a collection, to a parish challenge to wearing red on the day, To find out more about donating or being an active part of #TeamRed this year, visit acnuk.org/redwednesday
#RedWednesday Mass, St George’s RC Cathedral, London: 19th November, 5:30pm
Please join us for Holy Mass and a special evening of talks, an award presentation and reception, in solidarity with the persecuted Church, and to break the silence on the plight of young Christians. The church will be beautifully lit up red, filled with prayers and music.
