It has been three and a half years since the conflict in Ukraine started, three and a half of years of uncertainty, of fear, of suffering, a war that since February 2022 and seen over a million lives lost or injuries suffered by soldiers, by women and children, by anyone that calls the country their home.

No one has been left unscared by the devastating conflict and whilst, right now, there are calls for an urgent ceasefire, at the same time drone warfare expands the geographical range of violence to engulf more families into ever escalating number. 

As of August 2025, it is estimated that 12.7 million people in the Ukraine are in great humanitarian need. 

• 3.7 million people are displaced within Ukraine 

• Nearly one-third of households in front-line and border regions face food insecurity 

• In the first 3 months of 2025, over 130 attacks on health facilities were recorded
