14000 Decades of the Rosary Pledged – to date

Will you Pledge your Rosaries?

If you believe in the power of prayer, imagine the impact of 100,000 Decades of the Rosary prayed devoutly for hundreds of thousands of persecuted Christians in Africa.

At significant moments in Christian history, the situation has been so bleak, that only one remedy has sufficed – a Rosary Campaign. All Christians know and believe in the effectiveness of prayer and for Catholics, no prayer is more highly valued than the Rosary, a devotion offered to St Dominic by Our Lady herself. Through the ages Our Lady has called the world to prayer and repentance and offered her Rosary as a prayerful meditation on the life and ministry of her beloved Son and as a means for all who pray it devoutly to ask for her intercession to God for their needs.

‘After a vision of Christ, Bishop Oliver Dashe Doeme declared the rosary would bring down Boko Haram!’

In 2014, Bishop Oliver Dashe Doeme, of Maiduguri Diocese, Nigeria, through a mystical vision of Our Lord was offered the Rosary as a spiritual ‘weapon’ against the ongoing onslaught of violence by terrorist group, Boko Haram. Bishop Oliver called his Diocese to the Rosary and in due course, the Boko Haram threat subsided for a period.

This #RW, Bishop Oliver himself calls on ACN benefactors and UK Catholics and other Christians to take up ACN’s Rosary Challenge to pray for peace and justice in Africa in the firm belief that concentrated prayer can bring about change.

A video will be uploaded here ahead of #RedWednesday of Bishop Oliver sharing his vision and his call to support Decades of the Rosary for Africa this year.

Please be generous with your Rosary pledges to ‘storm heaven’ for our brothers and sisters in Christ in Africa. Please make your own Rosary pledge, or the number of rosaries pledged by your parish, school or group, here.  Why not hold a #RW Rosary event
