Alla Rakhi, the widow of the Nazir Gill Masih, has died.

Their family home in Sargodha was attacked by extremists on Saturday 25th May, after damaged pages of the Qur’an were found outside. The mob also looted and set fire to Mr Masih’s home and factory.

Mr Masih, who was in his 70s, succumbed to his head injuries on 3rd June after being treated at the Combined Military Hospital in Rawalpindi, where he underwent two surgical procedures.

ACN was told that his widow was overwhelmed by grief and depression over the murder of her husband, which led to her death.

The Christian community of Mujahid Colony in Sargodha is reported to be in deep mourning.

Local sources told Aid to the Church in Need that, following the mob attack, families remain displaced, businesses are shut, and people have lost their jobs, leading to hardship and despair within the community.
